Dr. Jose Varela - Lead Dentist
Our dentist in Durham, NC's, journey to dentistry is unique and shaped by his service in the United States Marine Corps, which instilled in him discipline and dedication. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill's dental hygiene program and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree there in 2019.
Committed to continuous learning, our family dentist in Durham, NC, has completed specialized surgical training at the Koerner Institute and implant training at the Durham Triangle Dental Institute, with more training planned at the Engel Institute in July 2025.
Outside of work, he enjoys exploring local restaurants, traveling, and cheering on his favorite soccer teams. A devoted father, he spends weekends with his boys at the movies, balancing his professional and family life.
